DiaperID uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyse stool color. A computer model learns to evaluate stool photos on appearance and color based on training images. Our preliminary studies already show a high test accuracy. Over 96% of pale/discolored stools and over 99% of normal stools were correctly identified, which is higher than the assessment by experienced pediatricians.
To control the performance of the digital stool color analysis, all stool photos will be re-evaluated by our study team.
