In this case, please wait for the review by the study team. The study team will contact you no later than the next working day for further information.
You can take new photos directly in-app or select them from the media gallery.
Please take photos in portrait format. Put the unfolded diaper in the center and take a picture of the entire diaper. Do not record the surroundings or body parts of your baby
We ask you to analyze a stool photo with DiaperID once a week during the first 5 weeks of life. In addition, you can analyse as many additional stool fotos as you like.
You have 7 days to take each of the weekly recommended photos. Within this period, it doesn’t matter when you take or upload the stool photo.
No personal data is stored or sent outside of your smartphone. Name and date of birth are only stored locally on your smartphone. Transferred data is pseudonymized and stored securely at the Charité.
The personal information interview will be conducted by our study team. After written consent, you will receive your personal Baby-ID, which you will need to register in the app. Participation in the study can be revoked at any time.
The study ends at the end of the 5th week of life. You will then be asked to share your experiences with DiaperID in a questionnaire.
You can withdraw at any time. Simply send us an email to diaperid@charite.de. If you are considering withdrawing, we regret this very much and would ask you to fill out the questionnaire sent to you to improve our application or to briefly describe the reasons for your withdrawal in the email. We would like to point out that data that has already been anonymized (e.g. stool photos without additional data) cannot be deleted later. Your local data on the smartphone will be deleted as soon as you delete the app or click on “Delete data” in the menu.
After the 5th week of life, you can no longer have stool photos analyzed with DiaperID. We advise you to continue to pay attention to your baby’s stool color. To do this, please use the stool color chart printed in the yellow childcare booklet and reach out to a pediatrician, if you have any concerns.
